01
Origins & history
VENINI was founded in Murano in 1921 by Paolo Venini and Giacomo Cappellin, with Vittorio Zecchin as artistic director. From its early years, the glassworks brought artists, designers and master glassmakers together. Collaborations with figures such as Carlo Scarpa, Fulvio Bianconi and Gio Ponti helped make the furnace a meeting point for Venetian craft and twentieth-century design.
02
Vision & philosophy
The house approaches glass as a medium for artistic research. Colour, transparency and technique are explored through ongoing conversations between designers and the furnace. Its Art Glass and Art Light collections extend that idea from intimate objects to chandeliers and installations, preserving the knowledge of Murano while allowing each generation to develop a new expression.
03
Style & materials
A strong command of colour unites sculptural vases, decorative objects and lighting. Forms can be fluid and folded, precisely geometric or inspired by historical painting. Fazzoletto, Monofiore Balloton and Veronese illustrate three distinct approaches: movement captured in glass, a tactile optical pattern and a classical silhouette reduced to an elegant outline.
