01

Origins & history

Founded by Romeo Sozzi in 1988, Promemoria grew from a family craft tradition around Lake Como. The Sozzi family’s nineteenth-century workshop restored carriages for the local aristocracy; four generations of material knowledge later informed the furniture house. Sozzi’s artistic eye brought that inheritance into interiors through a close attention to colour, touch and the way a piece is made.

02

Vision & philosophy

The name expresses an interest in memory as a resource for creating the future. Luxury is understood through the experience of materials and skilled making. Research, upholstery, leatherwork, woodwork and lighting are considered together, allowing a design to feel coherent from its overall silhouette down to the smallest tactile detail.

03

Style & materials

Rich textiles, expressive woods, bronze details and saturated colours create an intimate, atmospheric language. Rounded seating can sit beside precise cabinetry and sculptural tables. The result is layered and tactile, with individual pieces designed to contribute to a complete interior rather than rely on ornament alone.
