01
Origins & history
Michael Aram’s work connects an American artist’s eye with the metalworking traditions he encountered in India in 1989. That experience led him to establish a home and workshop in New Delhi and turn towards craft-based design. The collections grew around objects for the home and table, carrying the gesture of the maker into pieces used in everyday life.
02
Vision & philosophy
The approach gives functional objects the expressive qualities of sculpture. Leaves, branches, flowers and small creatures become a vocabulary for telling stories through material. Handwork is part of the identity: surface texture and the meeting of different finishes give a bowl, frame or vase a sense of individuality and intimacy.
03
Style & materials
Botanical forms, sculpted metal and contrasts of dark, silver and golden tones recur throughout the collection. Designs range from picture frames and serving pieces to vases, candleholders and larger decorative objects. Their organic details can soften a formal interior or add a distinctive accent to a contemporary tabletop.
