01
Origins & history
Christian Liaigre established his creative studio in Paris in the mid-1980s and opened a showroom on Rue de Varenne. The house developed an identity through furniture, lighting and interior architecture, with a consistent interest in natural materials and proportion. Its collections grew alongside architectural projects, supported by specialist makers whose skills in cabinetry, upholstery, leather and bronze give each piece its material character.
02
Vision & philosophy
The philosophy begins with removing details that have no purpose, allowing the material and the essential line of a design to become clearer. Apparent simplicity is the result of rigorous work on scale, structure and finishing. Furniture is conceived as part of the experience of a place, with comfort and craftsmanship carrying more expression than decorative effects alone.
03
Style & materials
Clean silhouettes and generous proportions are enriched by wood grain, full-bodied upholstery and carefully finished surfaces. Contrasts tend to be tactile rather than ornamental: a solid frame beside a soft seat, or a deep finish against a natural texture. Seating, tables, cabinetry and lighting share a calm architectural presence that can support both intimate rooms and larger interiors.
