01
Origins & history
René Lalique established the house in Paris in 1888, first making his name through jewellery before turning increasingly towards glass. His work bridged the natural forms of Art Nouveau and the more ordered rhythms of Art Deco. The manufacture in Wingen-sur-Moder, Alsace, continues the material story, with crystal becoming the medium through which the house’s relief, transparency and sculptural detail are expressed.
02
Vision & philosophy
Lalique treats light as something that can be shaped through material. Making combines technical discipline with an artistic interest in the natural world, human figures and decorative rhythm. Historic designs remain part of an evolving collection, allowing an established vocabulary to be reinterpreted through scale, colour and new creative collaborations.
03
Style & materials
The contrast between satin and polished crystal is a defining feature. Modelled relief catches soft light while clear areas create depth and reflection. Vases, sculptures and lighting often draw on leaves, feathers, figures or repeated geometric forms, giving even a small object a carefully composed sculptural presence.
