01
Origins & history
Christopher Guy grew from British designer Christopher Guy Harrison’s pursuit of enduring elegance, a journey he began in 1988. In Central Java he found both Indonesian mahogany and a deep tradition of handcraft. Those materials and skills became central to the brand’s ateliers, where carved furniture, upholstery and decorative pieces are developed as parts of a complete interior language.
02
Vision & philosophy
The design philosophy treats furniture as an expression of grace and character, with handwork giving structure to the idea. Traditional making is used to explore contemporary silhouettes, rather than simply reproduce period furniture. The aim is a recognisable aesthetic that can bring the same sense of refinement to a single chair, a mirror or a whole room.
03
Style & materials
Flowing curves sit beside architectural geometry, slender frames and carefully drawn upholstery. Seating often reads as sculpture, while carved legs and expressive backs provide distinctive details. The wider collection includes dining furniture, cabinetry, mirrors, lighting and decorative art, allowing dramatic pieces to be balanced with quieter forms.
