01
Origins & history
Founded in Portugal in 2005, Boca do Lobo set out to reinterpret traditional craft through unexpected contemporary furniture. Its early SOHO collection introduced the contrast of materials and techniques that still defines the brand. The work has since expanded into expressive cabinets, tables, mirrors, seating and lighting, made with the involvement of specialist Portuguese artisans.
02
Vision & philosophy
The brand sees craft as a starting point for experimentation. Techniques associated with decorative arts are used to make furniture that carries an emotional and artistic presence. A familiar object such as a sideboard or table becomes an opportunity to explore fragmentation, reflection, irregularity and the tension between polished surfaces and organic forms.
03
Style & materials
Sculptural shapes, metallic highlights and dramatic contrasts give the collections their character. The craft vocabulary includes metal casting, woodwork, leaf gilding, filigree and hand-painted Portuguese tiles. Some pieces become a room’s focal point; others introduce a smaller note of texture or reflection within a more restrained composition.
