01
Origins & history
Baccarat began as a glassworks in the eastern French village of the same name in 1764. In 1816 the manufacture developed the crystal that became central to its identity. Generations of glassmakers, cutters and finishers built a house whose work extends from tableware and decorative objects to chandeliers, with the craft of the manufacture remaining the foundation of each collection.
02
Vision & philosophy
The house explores the relationship between crystal, light and the experience of living. Collaborations with artists and designers bring contemporary ideas into dialogue with the manufacture’s techniques. A glass, vase or lamp is considered both a functional object and an expression of French decorative culture, with reflection and clarity playing an active role in the room.
03
Style & materials
Strong geometry, precisely cut facets and clear or coloured crystal create a recognisable visual language. Harcourt’s architectural lines sit alongside more contemporary decorative forms, while lighting amplifies the material’s reflective qualities. The collections can bring a concentrated point of brilliance to a table or a larger luminous presence to an interior.
